Subject: How to BXR, BXB and everything else

...

Press "XRB" very rapidly the exact moment that your melee connects. Press the second "B" exactly after the three rounds are fired. The second "B" will kill if the burst does not hit the head.

I would need to try that one.

"Help Help I'm being repressed! Come and see the Violence inherent in the system!"
"Bloody peasant!"
"Oh did you see that? you saw him repress me?"

There's a subtle line between cheating and being dumb and unsportman like.

Cheating = Bridging, standbying,
Unsporting = super bouncing, hiding bomb, hiding ball.

Anyone who does unsporting stuff, gets cheating feedback from me as it ruins the game and if they repeatedly do it they should be banned from MM for ruining the experience.

HOWEVER when it comes to BXB and BXR I feel a little different, and can be sumed up in 1 example:

I have a BR, and so does the person I'm about to melee, we are both on full health and there is no lag - its split screen. The BR has two melee animations - upwards and sidewards. However the sidewards one is quicker.

Even if I melee first and do the upwards Melee twice in a row, and my opposition does the sidewards one twice I will lose, despite striking first. Now combine that with the fact of Lag on Live and I'm in the UK. Losing a Melee battle because the game says "you do this melee, but its slower so you will lose" is a little dumb IMO. To counter this BXB and BXR are legitimate ways. It's not like Superbouncing which is easy and can only be done at certain points, or hiding the ball/bomb through the floor which only host can do.

BXB and BXR can be done by ANYBODY at ANYTIME with ANYGUN. IMO that makes it more balanced and fair. Agreed it is a glitch but my reason for using it is explained above. I see it as no different to AB with an objective item for an instant kill, its just a button combo.

You make some real good points; I am lucky that I live in the US with good upload speed. Still some of these combo are too hard IMO for me to even use in MM. I'm still trying to mastered most of them. Some people forget that too effectively use most of these combo it's is recommended to use claw style. I don't I use boxer. If you use anything but claw you have to take your aim finger of the joystick to do these combo.

Yeah, I'm thankful for glitches. As long as everyone can do them it is not cheating. Granted it might take some skill to get right but so does using a sniper rifle. Anyone who says it's cheating is probably just mad 'cus they lost to someone who BXR 'ed them with a shotty :)

Hmm, let me see uhh 50 wpm, and N is close to M; I think only a slow witted individual would think that I commited a spelling error.

But that was the only thing to criticise in my excellent response.

It is also good to see that plagiarism is alive and well in New Mombasa.

Well if superbouceing isn't considered cheating, then I don't see why a weapon combo that some are difficult to use be considered cheating.

Also saying "your wrong I'm right isn't considered an excellent response.

Bungie said that button combos were cheating when the removed the sword flying glitch, So I could care less what you think because you are not bungie, not official.

And superbouncing is cheating, why don't you check your facts before arguing?

I never knew that weapon combos and super bouncing were a ban able offense?

They would if they could be detected; however, I recall that you said that superbouncing was not cheating, which was incorrect.

Asking if it is a bannable offense is not germane

Don't be a loser. Bungie actually never said that button combos were cheating. They are allowed in MLG games and MLG is FAR more strict. It's just because you can't do them you think it's cheating. Practice my friend, start with BXB then work on RXL & BXR. Those are the only real combo's that make a diffrence.

Try sword flying to the top of zanzibar...Oh wait you can't because it is cheating, and has been removed.

And don't try to judge my skill from what I post, It is rather annoying.

Help me here, I'm not trying to flam here. But if you can't get banned for doing these combo then how is it considered cheating. I understand sword lunge because you can reach places on a map that weren't made for you to go to, and kill someone from across the board with the RL and sword. That's why they took away with the sword lunge

heh...You have good eyes...

Frankie said that the sword flying glitch was cheating, and that is why they removed it

Guess what it also was...a button combo!

They are not bannable offenses because they cannot be detected automatically, like modding, and standbying.

At least that is what I can infer.

Don't call them "glitches" - that's just a candy coated term and does not accurately describe what they are. They're bugs that alter the intended functionality of the weapons and gameplay.

What you do in tournaments on LAN is between you and your tournament organization, but do not advocate the exploitation of bugs being used in our matchmaking service. Whether it's superbouncing or interrupting weapon animations, just because we don't personally ban you for it doesn't mean it isn't cheating and extremely poor sportsmanship.

We only issue suspensions for modified content and network manipulation, Xbox Live administrates all other aspects of cheating or social issues.

When I see someone superbounce or use weapon exploits, I leave cheating feedback, I suggest you do as well.
