Bungie has stated that the "Believe" ads do not give away the end of Halo 3, and that the people who made them don't even know the ending. But when they put out ads like this (at Projekt Revolution) people think that they are spoilers. Why do they keep putting out these ads that convince tons of people that they've had the ending ruined for them? Can they not create any drama without making it look like they just ruined the plot?

They think Master Chief dies, they assume that from the ad.

But it says "when he is gone" in one of them, if he died it would've been passive, because it looks like the standpoint after the war or something, which doesn't give away a lot itself.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

do people not understand MC will die eventually?

The sign could have been in future tense though

Zomg yeah chief dies but respawns at last checkpoint and keeps going and wins the game the end.

Oh..Guess I shouldn't have said that..

These Ads make it sound like MC dies, but if the people who made them dont know the ending, then there's really nothing to worry about.

its just playing the music of halo, not ruining the ending. and i seriously doubt he dies. but i agree that might make people mad.

Uh... the ending is someone performing an interpretive dance of the Halo trilogy with an orchestra performing in the background?

On a more serious note, you can still honor the life and accomplishments of someone if they're still living...

Your a moron. Why don't you sleep on it, then come back tommorow.
Your a douche. Why don't you go eat some nitroglycerin, and then jump in a fire.

Wandering through the H3 forum and then being suprised by spoilers is like wandering through the arctic circle and being suprised that its cold.

yes, Bungie should probably step in and regulate what can and can't be put...someone who doesn't know that the ad makers are dip-blam!-s might get pissed off...

Exactly. Every time another one of these ads come out, forums all over the Internet explode with rage because they think the ad ruined the ending.

Wait, this is actually an event that Canonically took place in 2556... therefore, it DOES give away the ending!

Well, all that would mean is that not all of humanity dies. But still, the ad does NOT give away anything. They just make -blam!- up.

It is four years after the events of the three Halos. But who's to say that Halo 3 isn't going to be a game that lasts four years (game time)?

Halo 3, lasting four years? That would place the timeline four years after the brutes took Earth. I doubt Halo 3 will last that long.

Bungie has said the group in charge of that ad campaign does not have access to the final ending of Halo 3.

It's just a tribute to the big man himself. ;)
