Please be patient with me, this might take a minute or 2 to read.

For those of you who don't know, as of a few weeks ago, the previously postponed Halo movie has restarted production; Fox Studios signed back on with a better contract, and the studio has said that the movie will most likely be released in 2009. Below is a link to the Internet Movie Database.

Notice the director, as well as the executive producer (Peter Jackson) who is also bringing the same special effects studio that worked on Lord of the Rings and King Kong (Weta Workshop) into the project. If you don't believe Weta's working on the Halo movie, read in the link below. They're the guys that built the fully functioning, drivable Warthog.

Now, after observing all of these things, click on the link below.

Notice anything? The director and special effects studio that worked on the E3 2007 Halo: Arms Race trailer are doing the Halo movie. I think the trailer--which Bungie says is only to promote Halo 3--is actually a successful attempt to test the waters and see what Halo fans think of Halo in live action. Thoughts anyone?

So did I. I think I peed a little when I saw that human ship in the background :)

Halo ranks don't matter all that much, it's how many careless mistakes you can avoid, and some where in between is all the cool stuff you pull off.

(ELC)

This is got to be one the most decotative argument on this Bungie forum yet. I mean you got the links, the facts, and the faqs all nicely done.

I guess we're all just waiting on bungie to stop beating around the bush and finally come out and say what it is. But hey you know Bungie, everyone thing is a puzzle to be left to the true fans to reveal it to the rest of us.

So when you find out, let me know, peace.

Yup definately. It was probably a test of what people would think and how it could work.

In my opinion i was impressed. Alot of that stuff looked like i could walk up to it and *use* it, it was extremely impressive in my opinion of course.

I created a topic for this the second the Arms Race trailer was released.

I agree with you, but really...Search function? Come on.

I think there needs to be a new rule for the Halo 3 forums - don't post a new topic. Ever. If you've thought of something, its already been thought of and posted 8 times at least.

Anyways, yes, yes, and yes. My friend is an engineer who builds camera mounts for planes, and they're filming some sky shots as we speak...well, over the course of the next week. Lots of aerial views of soldiers fighting and such.

You know, I never thought of it, but New Zealand does have a lot of areas sorta like the second level of Halo: CE. Same kind of mountainous terrain, lush greenery, etc.
