Systems Engineer (Experienced)

It’s launch night. In 15 minutes, several million frenetic customers are going to race home from their game store’s midnight festivities and log on to your servers all at once. But that’s ok -- you’re prepared. You’re calm. And you have a wall of monitors around you tracking the health of nearly a hundred machines and the better part of a petabyte of storage. You’re about to launch a Bungie game.

Bungie is looking for an experienced systems engineer to keep our server software purring on our datacenter servers (we’re a Windows shop). Responsibilities include configuring dashboard apps for centralized monitoring and custom app management, automating and implementing OS deploys and patches in production and lab environments, and managing the typical alphabet soup of DNS, DHCP, GPO, AD, PKI and more.

A Systems Engineer also fields escalations from our Operations Center when they notice a hiccup in the system, to diagnose and respond to the incident.

Required Skills

  • Prior experience working on user-facing production servers in a high-availability environment
  • Deep understanding of Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory, Performance counters, etc.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, Windows networking, etc.
  • Willingness to do occasional late-night software maintenance work
  • Passion for delivering a great end-user game experience
  • Propensity for rattling off arcane Windows knowledge such as the merits of icacls over cacls, or the finer points of netsh

Mobile Engineer (Senior or Lead)

You spend your nights browsing the mobile app store, but rather than buying anything you say, “I can write that!” When Apple releases a new version of iOS you immediately download the updated SDK to see how the API has changed. You own a museum-sized collection of smart phones and have written apps for all of them. If any of that sounds like you, then we might have the position you’re looking for.

Bungie is looking for a Senior Engineer with a passion for mobile application development. Our mobile development team is focused on establishing real time connectivity for millions of users and terabytes of data. Join our team and define the interface of Bungie’s next gaming universe to the world.

Bungie Logo

There are several versions of the Bungie Logo. Please read the following usage guides to make sure you are using the appropriate version.

Usage / clear space

The Bungie logo requires a minimum blank space around it, especially if used with other logos. The letter B can be used to define this blank space. Please note the width of the B is aligned to the underside of the Swoosh to define the airspace above the logo, and is abutted to the outermost edge of the letter “E”.

Usage / center point

Using the clear space rules above will center the logo in that space. Please note the logo’s actual center and use that to place the logo in a larger space.

Usage / don'ts

Please do not alter the logo in any way.
