Real world, and games...again

So at the end of the other post...I feel we have accepted a lie, on top of others, but this one I'm sure Bungie will refrain from clarifying. And it goes back to predictions engines, vex, and the guardians...that's it. Pretty sure guardians are actually just going to be defined as plot points in the story of the universe, or plot tools...or as I like to call them puppets. Said it further back, allusion of freewill; give people something they are striving to define about themselves, they cannot be controlled in every way...oh but they can and are. GM: "You walk into the tavern" WE can lie - Achievement Unlocked Why does this matter to me? Freewill. Why does that matter in a potential universe in which we may literally just be 1's and 0's, uploaded consciousness? I just want to make sure there is a definition within the game explaining how they achieved freewill within a restrictive data structure. I don't feel real. I see people as personality constructs, data sets explaining their feelings towards other data sets from a selection of "trending" data sets. But it's important to me because... As a child I was given and read works that expressed the importance of the individual and their freedoms... I try to ignore the data sets now, so every topic in a conversation doesn't feel like some opinion of a trending topic... Remember that original story, wonder what it would have looked like to free the Warmind stuck in a timeless place, and simulated reality...if it only didn't know it had gotten trapped, or it knew...and just made the best of it. Meh. It's like ready player one (movie not book, love the book but I can't remember if this thought nugget was in it)...at the end, in a digital simulation, a conscious mind created and raised a version of itself, and took it further into the simulation...that had plenty of memories to base its life on...kind of like a loop. JDH == JKH So we keep nesting ourselves. Something happened when I was young, the bandersnatch moment, but it wasn't there. Then again at the movie theater. Again in Iraq. Again...and again...I can't help. And he had problems with pointers and address's, that memory shouldn't be that restrictive and malleable to change or replacement. Sure you can move and change them with code and directions, but the direction should be seamless or without thought toward the action unless forced. There was more, but it's Saturday morning, and as you jerks like to say, go touch grass. **Remember, there is a childlike, learning mind at the center of the cloudark, that is holding it all together...peoples minds tied to a singular entity... potentially a savior.

Except free will has already been established. That’s the whole premise of the Dark Future lorebook. The Traveler resetting time to have people make the right choices of their own free will, until all the right ones are made. I’m surprised you don’t see that. As it’s essentially replaying reality to find the winning solution, which is awfully similar to why the Vex run simulations. You completely missed it when it was right in front of you. Too busy looking outside of the game when everything you needed was right here…
