Wells Make You A Worse Player
Play your life.
Got asked to switch to Warlock Well during a 50 onslaught run. I was playing Strand, having fun. As we all should when playing.
We beat the 50 wave without me having to switch. The player that asked me to switch classes continued to die in silly ways, they were advancing unnecessarily. Yeah, learn the map, learn enemy patterns. Play your life. You don't [b]NEED[/b] Well.

Honestly I hate that stupid subclass. I actually like to Freeze stuff with stasis and I often keep consistent bleack watcher turrets. Sometimes I like to switch things up with void. One time some random blueberry was begging me to switch to Well.

I actually think strand is the better warlock build. Well doesn’t have much ad control or dps really. Can slightly help if you get the bombers but I think killings ads quickly is the best way to stay alive.

1 ReplyObviously you don’t NEED well but pretending it doesn’t make things easier is a horrible take. You should try dawnblade with the helmet, it’s another fun alternative to use in onslaught.

It’s pointless Also, the only 50 Legend I have been able to pass was a team of all strand. One of each class. We killed everything before it could even get close. People should play to their strength class not someone else’s needs

Well dosn't make you a worse player. Playing poorly consistently and not improving dispite constant failure is what makes someone a bad player. In my personal opinion people who point fingers at other players or deflect there own mistakes consistently are bad/ toxic players. In Onslaught Legend you will want to either build craft your team comp for effective combos OR have a group of players who are each playing builds that are well equipped and balanced aswell as playing above average skill level.

Wells and Divs are meant for support play in content that requires it. It’s meant to support an entire team during harder endgame content. Using it in patrols and ish is just being lazy. Which is fine too. Everyone’s allowed to be lazy and just mindlessly grind through some of the game’s less engaging content. But just know it’s the Guardian equivalent of going to the grocery store in sweet pants.

Hard agree, people make a huge deal when you're not on well, but when you get most dps and most kills there are crickets. They should replace well with a damage output super that gives you a flame aura that kills weaker adds and gives you x% damage boost for x amount of time for you and your teammates

there are now really easy sources of healing and oversheilding in the game like heal clip, unrelenting or repulser brace perks on weapons. if people are dying in a normal 50 rnd onslaught at this point it is a choice.

Yeah. I don't play Well at all. If people ask me to switch, I just tell them to go ahead and play the role on their Warlock. Which, predictably so, infuriates them.

Reminds me of the days where self rez warlocks just held their supers and never pushed with this them. It's a good reminder that casual players will always play in the back defensively and never push with their supers. It has gotten a little better with onslaught. Better players push with their supers at the beginning of the round.
